OUR PROCESS

From the initial consultation, to the creation of your budget, to the construction and completion of your project, the Hodge Design & Remodeling team will be with you every step of the way.

1) Initial Consult

•     60-90 Minute meeting at clients home
•     Discuss scope of work
•     Examine existing site conditions
•     Take initial measurements
•     Take photographs of existing space

2) Budget

•    Provide Opinion of Probable Cost (OPC)
•    If construction budget falls within OPC range + or - 15%, proceed to Design Agreement

3) Design Agreement

•    Outline scope of work, design budget and details of the design retainer fee
•    Explain work that takes place in the design phase
•    Sign Design Agreement to proceed

4) Selections & Design Work

•     Meet with designer in our showroom to begin selections process
•     2-6 weeks design development (dependent on scope of project)
•     Meetings scheduled as needed to confirm design & selections
•    Site visit walk through with Trades to confirm project details

5) Authorization to Proceed

•     Review:
-     Plans
-     Elevations
-     Selections
-     Schedule
-     Construction Contract
•     Authorize to proceed
•     Sign Contract

6) Pre-Construction

•     Meet your Project Manager
•     Pre-construction meeting with Hodge Design & Remodeling staff
•     Obtain permits
•     Create your Co-Construct account and log in to confirm

7) Construction

•  Place job sign, permit board and notification signs
•  Set up dust control
•  Progress reports daily in Co-Construct
•  Job site broom cleaned daily
•  Job site vacuum cleaned weekly
•  Payments follow milestones throughout the construction phase, as noted in your contract.

8) Completion

•     At substantial completion, a meeting is scheduled to discuss and address (if any) punch list items
•     Substantial completion payment due less retainer for any punch list items
•     When punch list is complete retainer is due
•     Written one-year warranty provided along with NAHB residential performance guidelines.
•     Photographs of finished project scheduled
•     Follow up calls at 6 months and 1 year to check in
